I will be volunteering at one of the largest Passion Conferences to be held right here in Atlanta, Georgia. What is Passion? It is “more than just another event, it’s a beautiful part of a movement that’s about finding true meaning as we take our place in a story so much bigger than ourselves. It’s about trading small dreams for a grand epic that is shaping history and has no end. And it’s about a rare chance for tens of thousands of university-aged young people to gather in celebration of their common faith purpose.”
At this conference, the subject of modern day slavery will be discussed. “This year at Passion 2012, we want to bring this darkness into the light. We long to wrap our arms around those who are hurting and help bring an end to modern day slavery in the name of Jesus. Together, we will lend our voice to the 27 million who have no voice and do everything we can to fight for freedom.”
One of my roles will be the ‘photog, documenting our volunteer team’s day, all the fun, crazy, good, bad and ugly. It falls in line with my only new year’s resolution of the iPhone365. I’ll be documenting 2012 with taking one picture every day and showcasing it at the end of the year in a movie. How will you be spending New Year’s Day? Do you have any New Year’s Resolutions you’d like to share with us? Post a comment on our http://www.fb.com/MovieMe page!
