The neat part about blogs is it has become a forced journal for me. Unfortunately, it is not something that comes easy for me but I love to look back and see what I was thinking and sometimes ask myself, “WHAT, was I thinking?!” haha As many of you know, this business rose out of a hobby. It was when I started doing projects for friends of friends that my husband said it’s time to launch this as a business. So here’s a little trip down brand memory lane…
Originally, the name of the company was Sacred Keepsake Memories and it wasn’t until a dear friend started designing a logo that I realized how difficult the company was to brand out. Because the memories are so sacred is why I kept going back to this name but eventually changed it something more simple.
So I came up with some alternative names and sent them out for a vote. MovieMe came back with almost unanimous vote. I’ve loved my current logo with the movie projector and our company name inside of the reels with a shading as if you’re looking through a film lens at the logo. Some would say it is more of an “old school” look – going back in time to relive our memories.
So why the change to a different logo? In keeping with the namesake of the company, I wanted a look that gave the company name some movement. Sometimes change is not always met with agreement but we are excited about our new look and all the credit goes to my friend, John Hamon. John is the graphic designer, who was the owner of http://www.stakkeddesigns.com, now owned by PremierLogic.com. You can see more of his work at http://www.weformit.com. Building a website or updating your logo, interview John and you’ll see very quickly that not only does his team have incredible talent but you’ll receive the best customer service.
